I Am Because He Is

Even when it seems overwhelming, give God thanks. If it doesn’t happen the way you want it to, give Him thanks. If you’re shedding tears, give Him thanks, because He knows the way out of that situation.

I always used to wonder how some people could be so heartless or could just keep to themselves without helping others. I think I found the reason why, or at least one of the reasons.

“Hi God ... Yes it’s me again. I was wondering what exactly you meant by this year is going to be my best year because honestly it’s turning out to be quite the opposite. And I don’t know how much longer I can hold on for.”

Your faith really hasn’t been tested until it’s all you have left to hold onto. You see what I’ve come to realise recently is that all the times I thought I had a lot of faith, I actually didn’t.

We tend to always think we have to do something to be loved. Whether it be getting good grades, buying gifts, offering something valuable...etc. I guess it’s just the way it is seen in society. However, we sometimes carry this same mindset when we come to Christ.

Dear Lord, Lately I’ve been feeling overwhelmed. Everything seems to be taking a turn just when I think I’m finally on the main road. I really wonder why you’re taking me through all of this. I’m doing things I said I’d never do. I seem to be doing the opposite of what I preach.

Imagine a world where everyone was the same. Exactly the same. Same hair, same body, same clothes, same cars, same phones, same personalities, same laughter, same walk, same talents...etc Yeah. You get the point lol. You wouldn't want a world like that would you?

Reality hit. Reality hit me hard. Reality hit me very hard. In fact it was so hard that I fell. I fell into thinking that God’s love for me was based on my works and my ability to serve him in many places/ways at the same time.

Who are you? Do you even know who you are? I mean, do you really know who you are or you just think you do?
